Top Tips for making an office happy

A happy office is a more efficient office, loses less staff and makes everyone's life a lot easier. To make your office happier you had to follow some tips like:

Having everyone on wages they are happy with will make every team member that much happier. However, everyone will always want more money so you can't just give everyone £100,000 a year. By setting up a payment ladder that people can climb through time and effort they will always feel they are on wages that they are happy with. Just knowing that they have the opportunity for a pay rise if they do 'X, Y and Z' will make everyone happier.

Satisfaction:
There is nothing that makes people happier than a feeling that they have done a good job. Satisfaction is a feeling that comes with meeting goals and being recognized for having met them, so if you can make sure that everyone in the office knows what their goals and make sure they are achievable, you will give each of them more opportunity for satisfaction.

Camaraderie;
It can be hard to make sure that everyone in your office gets along. Tensions can rise in even the friendliest of atmospheres leading to conflict and people falling out. There are things like team building exercises and nights out that can help people to get to know each other, but avoiding conflicts is not always that easy. One thing you can do is to ta
rget people who are causing conflict and try to work with individuals to resolve issues. Another thing you can do is to tailor your recruitment process to hire individuals that are less likely to cause conflict. You don't want someone that will get in arguments over envelopes and office stationery to spoil the feeling of camaraderie you have worked hard to build.

Environment:
By ensuring that your office has a good environment you can ensure that everyone has the best chance of being happy. A good office environment includes things like adequate heating or air-conditioning, well decorated and furnished spaces, good coffee and tea facilities and more specifically, all the tools staff needs to do their job. A happy office is one that likes where they work and has everything they need to do their job.
